Ian Tyler will be presenting at New Zealand's National Victims Conference 2014 in Christchurch. The conference is managed by the Red Raincoat NZ Trust and is backed by funds from the NZ Govt. The event will also be attended by senior UK Police Officer.

Author I R Tyler took part in public debate as one of four expert panel members discussing a Sex Offenders Register for New Zealand and Stop the Suppression. Tyler and chat show host Derryn Hinch represented the panel for a register and against name suppression whilst the NO camp was represented by Dr Gwenda Willis and Kim Workman. Adversarial in nature the debate was held at Auckland Grammar School.

I R Tyler supports calls for a Sex Offenders Register in New Zealand but opposes an Open Register. Authors believes a disclosure mechanism similar, but not the same Sarahs Law, would be the right middle ground in New Zealand.
